The European Industrial Alliance on Small Reactors (SMRs)

We are proud to announce that on July 2025 Techfem has officially been accepted as a member of The European Industrial Alliance on Small Reactors (SMRs).
This prestigious alliance aims to accelerate the development, demonstration, and deployment of SMRs across Europe by the early 2030s.

Our application to join the Technical Working Groups has been successfully approved, allowing us to actively contribute to the evolution of the nuclear energy across Europe.

We will give our contribution to this initiative by sharing our specific know-how in:

🔹 Engineering expertise for design, assembly and installation of experimental pilot plants
🔹Italian and European partnership to enhance the supply and development capacity of auxiliary and support systems to nuclear reactors
🔹Hydrogen and e-fuel systems modeling and design for the validation of economic and technical models for the non-electrical use of nuclear energy

Techfem, along with NIER Ingegneria S.p.a. Società Benefit, has already taken an important step by creating DONE (Decarbonization Objectives through Nuclear Engineering), a business network aimed at strengthening the Italian nuclear energy sector.
