Techfem has successfully completed the “Smoke Free, Together for a Smoke-Free Workplace” project, an initiative designed to raise awareness among employees about the risks associated with tobacco use and to promote a healthier work environment focused on collective well-being.
This project is part of the WHP – Workplace Health Promotion program, promoted by the World Health Organization (WHO), which Techfem has adhered to since 2024. The ultimate goal of the program is to improve workers’ health and well-being through targeted interventions within companies.
Our Project Goals
- Inform about the harmful effects of tobacco consumption, including passive smoking
- Promote awareness of the impact of smoking on physical and mental health
- Provide tools for reflection and support for those who wish to start a path toward change
Key Phases
The initiative was structured into several stages, with strong participation from our staff:
- Adoption of the Anti-Smoking Policy
- Company survey to gather information on employees’ habits and identify areas for improvement
- Informative session on the physical health effects of smoking with Dr. Federico Mei, Medical Director at Azienda Ospedaliero‑Universitaria delle Marche (SOD Pneumology) and Associate Professor of Respiratory Diseases at UNIVPM
- Informative session focused on the psychological aspects of smoking addiction with Dr. Marco Gaetano Calloni, specialized in cognitive neuroscience and Mindwork trainer
The Smoke Free project represents another concrete step in Techfem’s commitment to prevention and health promotion in the workplace.
